Beginning Friday, November 6: THE Fiber Arts Sale of the Year!

Every year, members of the Weavers' Guild of Rochester put forth their best work in a three-day holiday sale -- and it continues to grow in popularity. Last year, we moved to a new home: a gorgeous late 19th century mansion on East Avenue, the Century Club, and it was a great success.

Here are the details: The show hours are Friday, November 6, noon to 9 p.m., Saturday, November 7, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, November 8, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. There's free admission, free parking, major credit cards accepted. Also, we'll have demonstrations of a variety of fiber arts techniques and a fashion show on Friday evening.

Among the items on sale: handwoven garments and accessories, jewelry, felted and knitted garments, hand-dyed and hand-painted silk scarves, bags, ceramics, wall art, and much more.

And here are a few of the items I will have on sale.

A wool swing jacket inspired by African mud cloth designs

A silk organza wrap dyed in indigo

A handwoven scarf of hand-dyed silk ribbons

Weavers' Guild members will be on hand to help you as you shop. Hope to see you there!
